The story of the Farm Cafe began in early 2005 when we started running the coffee and pancake stall once a month at the Collingwood Children's Farm Farmers Market. It was surprisingly successful and our little stall went from being a once a month occurance to every weekend. Being cash strapped students and volunteering 3 days per week, we eventually asked the farm whether they might be paid for our time however the farm offered a small kitchen and an old vegie garden for lease instead. After a little contemplation, we went in to business.
Over the years the Farm Cafe has grown from a little coffee cart to one of Melbourne's most beautiful cafe's - serving delicious, wholesome, sustainable and ethical food of a high quality.
